Wanderlisting: 4 Dreamy Summer Airbnbs

Summer is almost over *despairs*. In these last few days of August and the beginnings of a warm September, we’ve still got just enough time to book a last-minute escape and say “ARRIVEDERCI!” to Autumn and Winter, and reality, for one last Summer jaunt.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who spends hours swiping through dreamy Airbnb photos like I’m looking for Prince Charming on Tinder? I’ve always had good experiences whilst using Airbnb, and although I’ve heard a few horror stories (a friend of a friend turned up to the address to find that the house didn’t actually exist), I am still a true fan of the service. I believe it does so much more good than harm in allowing us to feel more of a new location, or just to stay in beautiful surroundings.
And if there’s anything I love as much as planning my travels, it’s making lists. Here are a few of my favourite no-limits-no-budget Airbnbs for summer.

1. Villa Amarilla, Anguilla, Caribbean

For me, summer just isn’t summer without at least one trip to the ocean. Salty hair and freckly skin suits me just fine.
Beachfront villa. You and 9 of your friends. Sure, the bill will be pretty heavy, but one can dream right?
This place is everything-Caribbean Goals. Every bedroom has an ocean view (!?) and ensuite, there’s a gourmet kitchen at your disposal,  as well as a bar and heated infinity pool, right on the cusp of that big blue ocean.
Who’s coming with me?

2. La Selva, Tuscany, Italy

For those of us who prefer to spend those long summer days in the country, lounging in the pool, and tasting Italian wines…
It’s not just me who’s obsessed with this country villa, surrounded by century-old oak trees and olive groves; Condé Nast Traveler did a huge exposé on the countryside haven in May this year (you can read it here).
La Selva sits snug in the hills of the Chianti region of Tuscany. It has a salt-water pool, its very own amphitheatre, and a yoga pavillion only 5 minutes away on foot.
You can take the hosts up on their offer of cooking lessons from the family chef, a wine-tasting with a sommelier, and more.
There’s space for at least 16 guests here, which, along with the postcard surroundings, have made it a well lusted-after wedding destination.

3. The SeaShell House, Isla Mujeres, Mexico

I couldn’t make this list and not include this place.
It’s every wannabe-mermaid’s dream house. The exterior, the interior, and all of the decor is like something out of a fairytale. It would make for the most amazing girl’s holiday.
The area is set on a cliff side of Isla Mujeres, an island of just 7km in length. If tourists, crowded beaches and pools aren’t your thing, you’ll feel right at home here.

4. Oia Home II, South Aegean, Greece

A classic old-fashioned cave, beautifully decorated, in the heart of Oia, a stone’s throw away from the famous Santorini.
With views of a vulcano and the sea, you’d find me on my yoga mat on the balcony every morning.
Keeping in tune with the classic blue and white palette we’ve all obsessed over on Instagram, this Oia house really is an Oia Home.

I hope you’ve had a lovely summer season, whatever you did.
Have you ever used Airbnb? What was your experience like? Have you got any plans for a late summer trip? Where have you been this summer?
Let me know if you’ve ever stayed in one of these! Let me know in the comments or I love to chat on Twitter: @wanderwomanco
Love, Chloe xx

I’ve never used AirBnB, but I’ll happily join anyone going to any of these 😀
